Highland Pond is a spring-fed pond, an excellent place for winter ice skating, There are 19 miles of hiking and cross country ski trails surrounding it, as well as clay tennis courts and a playground.

Sachem's Head is reached by one of the trails and provides a scenic view. It is located on the same ridge as Poet's Seat Tower.

Bear's Den is a rock cave formation in Highland Park.
