Lake Wyola State Park
a 129 acre lake located in Shutesbury, MA
93 Lakeview Road Shutesbury,
MA

Also known as the Carroll Holmes Recreation Area.
Swimming is very popular at this beach area which has a bathhouse. There is a charge for parking, and the lot is closed when full. Visitors arriving by foot or bicycle will be admitted free, even if the parking lot is full. To alleviate crowding on the beach, grills and picnic tables are available on the lodge side of the street.
Lifeguards are on duty at all times during the summer when the park is open - 9:00am - 8:00pm. After Labor Day, the swimming buoys are pulled out of the water and swimming is prohibited. The park is open, however, for shorter daytime hours throughout the year for picnicking and other non-swimming activities.
Boat access is provided at the southern end of the lake by a paved ramp located off Locke's Pond Road. Fishing is very popular, and the lake is stocked with trout.
