The purpose of the SFAWC is to support community projects and programs benefiting local children and youth and to unite and involve the women of the community in an organization promoting cordial personal relations and community service. The SFAWC promotes interest in and appreciation of the arts, literature, music, local history and programs of common interest. The Women’s Club is proud to support the Bridge of Flowers, which was initiated by the Club in 1929.

 



Most meetings are held at the Shelburne Buckland Community Center, Main Street, Shelburne Falls on the second or third Wednesday evening in September-December and March-May. Membership is $20 per year. Guests are welcome at all meetings.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE

Warm the Children – You will be invited to volunteer to work at the “Warm the Children” project run by the Greenfield Recorder usually the second or third week in November.

West County Food Pantry – Last year non-perishable food was collected at our December meeting. We also donated good winter clothing – hats, boots, mittens.

Thesaurus Project
– Each sixth grader at Buckland-Shelburne Elementary School receives a Thesaurus as a gift from the Women’s Club.

The Bridge of Flowers
always needs volunteers.
