A matriot is a woman, man or child who loves their country and whose love does not stop at the borders of their own nation.

The Matriots' Vision

The Matriots envision a world where all can enjoy the life that mothers want for their children:

* Nutritious food

* Clean water and air

* Safe homes and neighborhoods

* Vibrant health/ good health care

* Quality education

* Self respect

* Respect for and from others

* Loving relationships

* Personal fulfillment

We believe there are enough resources in the world so that all the earths' inhabitants can lead healthy, safe and abundant lives.

We believe we all have a responsibility to ourselves, our children and grandchildren and future generations, to protect the earth and its ecosystems, so that all beings can live healthy, safe, loving lives.

We honor all life forms, the plants and animals, the elements that make up life.

We embrace differences and believe that people share a common bond of humanity. Just as a mother helps her children resolve conflicts peacefully, we believe it is possible for all people and nations to solve conflicts through nonviolent conflict resolution.

Our mission is to spread these ideas worldwide and to open our ears and our hearts to hear what mothers and people all over the world want for their families.

The world is out of balance. We want to help rebalance the energies that are in this world, so that the feminine voice is heard and heeded equally, in partnership with the masculine voice.

Whether we are mothers or not, there is a knowledge that lives in a woman's body, that needs to come forth to save this earth and its inhabitants from destruction.

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness is the right of all people in the world.
