Ancient Fire Making, Natural Cordage, Animal Tracking, Wilderness Living Skills, Storytelling, Wild Edibles and more! Come out, have fun, foster a deeper relationship with nature, community, family and self. We are also looking for INTERNS and APPRENTICES to be involved in our vision and invest in the future of our youth today. Join us and see the Pioneer Valley through new eyes Our VisionOur vision is to offer people experiences in nature that will introduce them to a new awareness of themselves and the natural world around them. We achieve this by immersing people in nature through Adventure Experiences, Wilderness Living Skills, Nature Awareness, Tracking, Communication and Community Building Skills, and by bringing forth Native teachings from Elders around the world. It is our hope that these experiences act as a reminder of how beautiful and sacred nature is and how good it feels to be connected to it and to the people around us. Nurtured Heart Approach Workshop Series for parents and teachers
The Nurtured Heart Approach™, also known as the Inner Wealth Initiative, is a paradigm shift in parenting and educating. NHA is a relentlessly positive and simple approach to working with others’ intensity. It is about creating relationships that energize and support success and positive choices; creating an environment that reflects success. This is not about catching kids doing things right; this approach creates opportunities for children to see their own inner wealth. Many disciplinary methods are upside-down, encouraging poor choices by inadvertently giving more energy and relationship when children are testing their environment. Learn how you can instill inner wealth in children and guide them to ever-increasing levels of success. This approach is based on a technique developed by Howard Glasser, author of “The Inner Wealth Initiative”, and was originally created for kids with challenging behaviors such as ADHD, but it has been found to help children of all ages and abilities flourish. Families , schools, human service agencies... anyone who works with children is coming to see the amazing benefits of learning this approach. We have also within the last year been recognized as a Nurtured Heart School and are training schools, parents and others in this unique approach that is committed to building inner wealth of the children and community members we all share.
